I came to The Recovery Place on August 2nd 2010. I came into treatment beaten and broken.
I had no spiritual values or hope of ever having any. I was a believer in Jesus Christ, but I had no relationship with him or understanding of how Jesus could help me with my recovery.
All that has changed for me because of the Christian Track at The Recovery Place.
The Christian Track has done a lot for me in my recovery. When I walked into the Christian Track primary group I could feel the presence of God. I felt comfortable, a part of the group, and understood.
I was able to heal from, and understand, things in my past. I learned coping tools and how to let God take care of me. Most importantly, I learned how to forgive myself and others.
A very important part of The Recovery Place Christian track is the clinician Ms. Charlotte Day.
Charlotte takes her job very seriously. She cares for each and every person that comes in and out of The Recovery Place.
Charlotte has a great understanding of God and the disease of addiction. Her relationship with God, her knowledge of addiction, and her ability to help others is unmatched. I couldn’t have asked for a better clinician.
Today I have an up-close and personal relationship with Gold that I’ve never had before. I have serenity, hope, and faith. I have four months clean and sober and for the first time in my life I am honestly happy.
I am so grateful for God, Charlotte, and The Recovery Place Christian Track for getting me started on my spiritual journey.”
