Aftercare
The Recovery Place’s comprehensive treatment approach does not end with discharge from one of our inpatient or outpatient treatment programs. Many treatment facilities do not extend their programs beyond discharge, and we feel this leaves out a crucial phase of the treatment continuum.
We understand that in order to ensure ongoing success, it is important that our clients continue to have a support network, long-term guidance, and education. These adjuncts to care effectively reinforce the sobriety skills that they learned in treatment. Our aftercare support program is one of the reasons that The Recovery Place has such an excellent recovery success rate.
The Recovery Place clients who remain in the South Florida area are integrated into our complimentary six-week aftercare program. Each client in the aftercare support program is closely followed by a credentialed clinician, who assists the recovering individual in meeting the goals contained in their post-discharge care plans. Clients are discharged with a fully formulated aftercare plan in place, with specific goals that they continue to work towards.
South Florida clients who have advanced this far in treatment are well on their way to recovery, and are eligible for participation in The Recovery Place’s extended monitoring program. This special program notifies interested parties (such as family, employers, employee assistance programs and disability insurers) if there are signs that the patient is becoming non-compliant with their post-discharge care plans.
Individuals who enter our treatment programs from out of state or outside our south Florida location, and who plan to return home after discharge, are provided with extensive exit planning and aftercare support. This specialized discharge plan includes referrals to groups within their own home communities.
