Outpatient Program
Outpatient treatment at The Recovery Place has one important bottom-line goal: long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol. Our clinical and support staff is dedicated to helping each client achieve this goal through specific education and treatment modalities.
Achieving the goal of long-term abstinence is possible in the outpatient setting through a specific set of treatment foci:
- Educating clients in the disease process, ensuring they develop an understanding of addiction
- Teaching the psychological, medical, and spiritual affects of addiction to the individual and family
- Identifying and addressing emotional and behavioral obstacles in recovery
- Relapse prevention by developing and implementing an effective aftercare treatment plan
Successful integration of these proven treatment objectives allows our clients to reenter society in a positive manner, and continue to live a drug and alcohol free life.
The Recovery Place outpatient treatment program is designed for individuals who complete our full day/night and intensive outpatient treatment program. It is the next treatment phase for clients who are eligible for ongoing treatment, but no longer require a highly structured environment in order to maintain sobriety.
If appropriate, referrals are made to community support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), other community based self-help groups, vocational rehabilitation agencies, and pertinent ancillary services.
Outpatient treatment encourages clients to interact in the real-world environment on a daily basis, while still benefiting from the support of clinical interventions. Assessments of the client’s progress are done regularly, and the duration and type of support managed from these assessments. No two clients are alike; therefore no two outpatient trajectories will be the same.
