Alcohol and drug addiction severely affects the family, whether they are living with someone in active addiction, or are thousands of miles away. The Recovery Place team recognizes this fact, and includes family and significant others when developing a treatment plan for each individual client.
Through years of experience, our clinical and support staff have seen that once a family is provided education and therapy, they can increase the quality of their own lives, as well as enhancing their loved one’s chance for treatment success.
Our treatment professionals make sure that there is engagement with the family throughout the entire treatment process. This is done in a variety of ways:
- Face-to-face family sessions with the treating clinician
- Telephonic conferences with family that are unable to physically visit The Recovery Place
- Weekly family programs provide an evening of valuable education, to answer questions and clear up areas of confusion
- Programs to empower families and provide both professional support, as well as interaction with other families experiencing similar issues
